Catering Jobs in Tambaram: Verified Shifts, Paid the Same Day
A wedding hall near Tambaram Sanatorium needs six banquet staff for Saturday. A caterer off GST Road needs two kitchen helpers for a corporate lunch on Tuesday. These jobs come up in Tambaram every week — the problem has never been a shortage of catering work, it's finding out about it in time, from someone you can actually trust.
If you've been searching for catering jobs in Tambaram, a catering job today, or looking for daily wage jobs in Chennai more broadly in the area, this guide is for you.
Why Catering Job Hunting in Tambaram Feels Harder Than It Should
Most catering jobs in and around Tambaram — Chromepet, West Tambaram, Selaiyur, and along GST Road — still get filled the same old way:
• A WhatsApp group forward that's already three hours old by the time you see it
• A phone number that rings out because the caterer is mid-shift and can't answer
• A local contact who only calls you when they happen to remember you exist
• An agent who takes an unfair cut of your daily wage before you've even worked the shift
Meanwhile, caterers and banquet halls in Tambaram are calling around at the last minute too, hoping enough staff show up. Both sides are working hard around a system that was never built for speed or trust.
What a Catering Job Today Should Actually Look Like
Whether it's a one-day wedding shift or a recurring weekend role, three things matter most:
• 1. Same-Day Pay — A catering job today should mean a catering wage today — not a follow-up call three days later. Verified UPI payout on sign-off is the standard, not a favor.
• 2. A Real, Confirmed Job — No turning up to find the event was cancelled or the headcount was already filled. Verified listings mean the shift is actually there.
• 3. A Record That Follows You — Every completed shift — kitchen helper, banquet staff, waiter — should build a rating and job history you can show the next caterer, instead of starting from zero every time.
Catering Roles You Can Find in Tambaram on Ziggers
Ziggers lists verified, geofenced catering and hospitality gigs across Tambaram and nearby areas, including:
• Banquet staff for weddings and events
• Kitchen helper jobs for restaurants and catering kitchens
• Waiter and serving roles for one-day or recurring shifts
• Bartenders and hospitality staff for events

These sit alongside other daily wage jobs in Tambaram — delivery, warehouse, and event staff roles — so if catering shifts are slow in a given week, you're not stuck checking one job type. Looking specifically for serving roles outside of catering companies? Check Waiter Jobs as well.
How It Works
On the worker side: Open the Ziggers app, set your location to Tambaram, and browse verified catering listings nearby. Apply, get confirmed, work the shift, and get paid via UPI the same day it's signed off.
On the employer side: Caterers, banquet halls, and event organizers in Tambaram can post a requirement — say, "need waiters for wedding" or "kitchen helpers near me" — and get matched with verified, nearby workers in minutes instead of making a dozen phone calls.
Every worker on Ziggers goes through KYC verification, and every payment moves through secure escrow, so both sides get what a WhatsApp group never offered: a real paper trail and mutual trust.
